It's so funny how I cam upon this post. I was just sitting here moping about the future. I, too, am one of those people, who have tried to make out a plan, thinking about where I want to be five years from now and it just felt so out of place and SO NOT ME. I am one of those people who don't know, but I want to know and I think that intention alone makes me okay with not knowing because someday I will know. I just have to let go and trust.

Hi, Great Blog!
Hey guys its real.... and letting go and letting the universe take care of it is such an adventure! Think of the possibilities as you go through your day, each person you meet, each corner you turn, just sitting at your computer....its all such a great adventure...did you say you wanted more adventure in your life?, well its all over the place! Dont ever let yourself slip back into your old thought patterns, play good music, plaster a smile on your face (one of my 1st and most important tricks) if you smile and smile and smile no matter what crappy stuff you think you are dealing with...the smile mood will follow...it has to...its my belief and my law and it can be yours too! It works. If you are struggling with "Getting it and Keeping it" try mirror work (my 2nd most important trick!) Look in the mirror and like what you see, if you dont then trick yourself on a daily basis and say it anyway. Every day! then add to it..I like myself, I love myself, I deserve more, I want more, Im beautiful, slender and healthy, slimmer everyday, every minute I attract abundance, $$, Love, health.... It works and I hope, pray and intend that all of you who are searching for the "know" will find it and get it and hold it. dont slip back...ever, and if you do smile and look in the mirror again and again until your heart swells and your chest burns with the "Knowing" its great and its yours.
It really is a form of discrimation. Less vicious than racism but it's all a matter of degree. As a severely disabled person I"m on the receiving end too.

My sister has struggled with weight all her life, and my metabolism was just the opposite - was able to eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight. It's just so - well, frankly stupid - for people to believe that anyone who's fat is a lazy overeater.

My thinness was never the result of any moral virtue when it comes to eating! If I wanted half a dozen donuts or three days of fast food in a row on a given weekend, that's what I ate.

It has taken my years, at least a decade, to realize and accept that I am a worthy, lovable, acceptable human being simply because I exist, and not because of anything I do, anything I achieve, or anything I offer. See, I had bought the lie that I had to "earn my keep;" this lie kept me bitter and resentful, as I worked and worked and worked to earn that keep by trying to have a perfect body, perfect children, and be a perfect wife.

I started First Ourselves, www.firstourselves.com, to love and accept myself just as I am; to create my own happiness; to love and accept my body.

Thank you for saying this outloud, and affirming that we are all worthy, just as we are.

In sisterhood,

Hahaha... puppy vaccuums!

But seriously - I'm loving this entry. My buddy* Wayne Dyer says it thusly: "remove yourself from the outcome" - which is basically what you've said. It's about setting the intention and then not caring whether or not it works out - because no matter what comes your way, it's exactly as it is supposed to.

*not actually my buddy - just someone who whispers great wisdoms to me

Aww. Thanks for stopping by, guys. What a relief to just let it go, no?

The Abraham-Hicks crew have a great trick for letting go on a daily basis. You're the manager and the Universe is your uber assistant. You do what makes you happy and delegate the rest. "Will you please take care of this and this and this?" And then if you really let it go and stop worrying about how it's going to get done, things align to get it done--either by someone else entirely, or something happens that helps the process be an enjoyable one for you. It's kind of a hard one--what do you mean someone is going to come mow my lawn for me? But then a lawn care guy shows up with extremely reasonable rates and a coupon. Or the weekend weather turns out to be so beautiful that there's nothing you'd rather do than be outside in your yard. Letting go of things relaxes our minds and allows solutions to flow to us.

You have just put into words what I have been thinking alot about lately. Maybe if I quit worrying so much about XYZ, then maybe XYZ will work itself out. I am making an effort to focus on things that make me happy, instead of things that SHOULD make me happy. Thanks for the post - it's a fridge-hanger!
