Have you ever read The Hedonistic Imperative? It pretty much covers where we should be/are heading WRT the future of sentient bliss.

Sounds like I have a lot of work to do on that.

I've been slowly reading through your whole blog and I placed a hold on a bunch of books you recommended. I can't wait for them to get in!

I'm with you on that one--boy howdy. It's so hard to focus on abundance when the reality around us affirms lack. I think this is the most difficult thing about the Law of Attraction. If we keep seeing the lack we just reinforce it. I was listening to a great Abraham recording (you can download the mp3's for free at hayhouseradio.com if you register at the site which is also free) and they said, "Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?" So do we want to focus on what's true (My bank account is empty, I don't know how I'm going to bring money in, etc) or do we want to focus on what makes us feel good (I work for myself and do something I love and money just finds its way to me)?

There's something called the path of least resistance which means that whatever path you can see for yourself that is going to bring you relief and get you where you need to be is what you should do. If that means getting a part time job because you need to have some control over how money gets into your bank account, then do it. If you keep focusing on the outcome instead of the things you need, you'll reach the point where what you need comes into your life.

It seems like splitting hairs, but it's not. It's impossible to be in a state of allowing while we're asking. We can't think "I need money!" (that's the asking) and think "I have all the money I need" (the receiving) at the same time. So the priority is doing whatever you can that makes you happy and brings you to a point where you can make the thought "I have everything I need" be your focus.

Being currently unemployed, I think that affirmation is going to help me a lot. Especially since, everything in my body tells me I don't want to work for anyone else anymore but my private business pursuits are slow gaining momentum so my brain says, "Um. Hey. Money? Remember that? Your bank account is empty."
